Mars Crater named after nepal village name Langtang

A crater on Mars has been named after one of the villages called Langtang worst hit by the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.
The International Astronomical Union has now named a 9.8km (six mile) wide crater on Mars as Langtang.

The tallest waterfall in the World.

The tallest waterfall in the world is Venezuela's Angel Falls, which plunges 3,212 feet (979 meters), according to the National Geographic Society. The falls descend over the edge of Auyán-Tepuí, which means Devil's Mountain, a flat-topped elevated area of land with sheer cliff sides located in Canaima National Park in the Bolivar State of Venezuela.

2016 will be the hottest year ever recorded

 May was record warm for the globe, according to NASA data released Monday.

It's now even more likely that 2016 will be the hottest year ever recorded, despite the demise of one of the strongest El Niños on record.

NASA put May at 1.67°F (0.93°C) warmer than the 1951-1980 average for the month, the first month since October 2015 to be less than 1.8°F (1°C) above average in their dataset, which extends back to 1880.

Blind-friendly Rs100 banknote issued


Nepal Rastra Bank has issued Rs100 denomination banknotes with a feature which allows visually impaired people to recognize them. This is the first time that paper money that has been specially designed for the benefit of blind people has been put in circulation.
The currency notes which entered the market on Sunday have a raised black dot which visually impaired people can feel with their fingers and find out the denomination
The note has a 2-mm-wide security thread which looks red or green depending on the angle of view.

India’s Mawlynnong village in the Meghalaya region is renowned as the cleanest village in Asia.
It was declared the cleanest village in Asia in 2003 and the cleanest in India in 2005 by Discover India magazine.
