As per census 2068 , lowest literacy rate in five district are categorized as follows: 

1.Rautahat: 41.7%
2. Saralahi: 46.3%
3. Mahottari: 46.4%
4. Humla: 47.8%
5. Siraha: 50.2%

Nepal Census 2068- Highest literacy rate.

Five district with highest literacy rate  as per census 2068 are:
1. Kathmandu :86.3%
2. Lalitpur: 82.5%
3. Kaski: 82.4%
4. Bhaktapur: 81.7%
5. Illam: 77.9%

The total literate population above 5 years in Nepal is 65.9 %. The population above 5 years is 23926541.
