Neuroendocrine tumors are cancers that begin in specialized cells called neuroendocrine cells. Neuroendocrine cells have traits similar to those of nerve cells and hormone-producing cells.

Neuroendocrine tumors are rare and can occur anywhere in the body. Most neuroendocrine tumors occur in the lungs, appendix, small intestine, rectum and pancreas....

Bollywood and Hollywood actor Irfan Khan dies today.

Bollywood actor Irfan Khan died on 29 April 2020 due cancer. 

He also played Hollywood movie Life of Pi, Slumdog Millionaire and Jurassic World.

In 2018, he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumours - which affects cells that release hormones into the bloodstream.  

 He was born Sahabzada Irfan Ali Khan on 7 January, 1967 in the Rajasthan village of Tonk.

In 2013, he won India's National Film Award for his leading role in Paan Singh Tomar, a biopic about a top athlete who becomes a bandit. Other Bollywood hits he acted in including Lunchbox, Piku and Hindi Medium.
