EU-Nepal air agreement.

On 23 January 2009, the EU and the Government of Nepal signed a Horizontal Aviation agreement which will restore legal certainty to the bilateral air services agreements between Nepal and EU Member States. The Horizontal Agreement entered into force on 25 June 2015.

The EC blacklisted Nepal, placing restrictions on Nepali airlines, for the first time in 2013 immediately after the International Civil Aviation Organisation raised the red flag.

The ICAO, removed Nepal’s aviation from its blacklist in July 2017.
